Address

So I finally heard back from my new roomate Kristen and she sent me my new address in Denver!!!

it is...drum roll please....

3733 Eliot St.
Denver, CO 80211

My phone and e-mail will stay the same for now. I am so excited!

I also had a little going away party last week and it was so awesome to see some of my closest work friends, and a few faces I hadn't seen in a while. We all met at the Taproom and hung out and had some dinner. One of my good girlfriends Ebie McFarland brought a little mailbox and had everyone write a note to me...a memory or well wishes etc. it was really sweet! I'll be reading those when I get to Denver! Wahoo!

Almost Home

So as of today I have 8 more days of work left, 1 fund raiser to video, 1 long hiking trip, 16 days left in Nashville, and then I come home. I'll spend a wee 3 days home and then Dad and I jump in the truck and head to Colorado! I might try to leave a bit earlier so I have more time at home...just don't want to pack and unpack the u-haul...but don't want to spend extra money just letting it sit there either. Here is the latest place I have found and was able to speak to the girl directly on the phone yesterday. It has been hard to get people to respond! I swear I'm not crazy! You should read some of the descriptions I have found. Anyway, this place seems great, and the girl sounded great on the phone. She was going to talk to her other room mates and let me know something by Wed. I would really like to be able to go into that other house with the 2 girls from the Midwest but they have not gotten back in touch with me. I'm going to follow up again today. No news on jobs....so frustrating. I'm ready to hit the ground running though when I get out there.

Highlands!

So I have decided to live in Denver until I secure a position. Right now the Highlands area is feeling right and I have found a few apartments for rent there. I have found it particularly difficult to secure a place while out of town. Here is one I am looking at currently and have spoken with the tenants already. I think the phone conversation went well but who knows what they think! They are from the mid west as well...one from Ft. Wayne and the other from Ohio! That feels good. Midwest kin. Ha ha.

Anyway I am just crossing my fingers that something will work out! The Highlands area is around 32nd Ave and west of Federal Ave...west of downtown Denver. That much closer to the Mountains!! Check it out

Looking forward to getting out there! Only 1 week and 3 days left of work in Nashville and then another week until I'm up in IN and then Dad and I drive out on the 11th! Wahooo! it is coming up quickly!

Ok ok ok...round 5

This is hilarious....so yesterday I get to talk to Avid For Adventure and what do they tell me....their training camp is the week of Fan Fair which I already agreed to do! AHHH! Who knows if they would have hired me or not but it would have been something! Today opened up some new opportunities...Big City Mountaineers is looking for someone like me, and Parent Pathways is too... Check them out! Still searching......

"I'm sorry to inform you but..."

So I got a message today saying the CDTA is putting a hold on the job I wanted due to restructuring of the department. They said they will be revisiting resume's mid May. While I really want that job I cannot wait until mid May to find out. Good news is a summer camp-type place is interested in talking to me. Avid For Adventure is the name of the company...we have been playing phone tag for 2 days...I hope I get to talk to them today! It is not ideal but it would be fun and a good experience to tide me over. Now i just have to decide where I want to take my chances on a job...Denver or Boulder...

Ughhh....
